The Fountains Group to Open Luxury Memory Care Facility in Latrobe With Ribbion Cutting on March 4

LATROBE, Pa. — The Fountains Group announces the opening of its newest luxury
memory care community, as a part of The Fountains at Latrobe Luxury Senior Care,
LLC, which opened last year. The new 15,000-square-foot Secured Dementia Unit is
specifically designed and licensed to provide personalized care in a resort-style setting
with activity rooms and memory rooms for residents with Dementia and/or Memory
Loss. The facility is located at 317 Starlight Court and scheduled to open March 1,
2026. A Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting and Open House will take place on
March 4, from 4 to 6 PM.

The new memory care unit will offer 24-hour personalized care overseen by a licensed
Executive Director and Director of Nursing. Residents will benefit from individualized
care plans, with routine medical services provided on site, reducing the need for outside
medical appointments.

“We’re excited to bring our brand of luxury memory care to Westmoreland County,” said
Marcy Colkitt, a health care lawyer and business owner leading the development. “This
new facility complements our existing Memory Care communities in Indiana and DuBois
and meets a growing demand for high-quality dementia care in a comfortable, elegant
environment.”

The Latrobe community features 22 private suites, each with a private bath and barrier-
free shower. Rooms come fully furnished, with full-sized beds and 55-inch OLED smart
televisions. Amenities include a beauty salon, sunroom, outside deck, and coffee bar.

“We care for residents with a range of needs,” says Colkitt. “All have cognitive needs,
ranging from early-stage dementia to late stage, and some have mobility challenges,
including the need for a wheelchair. And some have diseases such as Parkinson’s,
cancer or congestive heart failure. We arrange for physical therapy, speech therapy and
hospice to take place on site. This gives family members piece of mind.”

Dining and lifestyle offerings are designed to greatly enhance residents’ daily
experience regardless of their health status. The community will provide made-to-order
breakfasts, flexible dining options, and a full calendar of activities, including massage
therapy, exercise classes, relaxation programs, painting, and live entertainment three
times per week. Housekeeping and daily individual laundry services are also included.
Interest in the new facility has been strong, according to Colkitt. “The response has
exceeded our expectations,” she said. “There is a tremendous need for memory care
that combines clinical excellence with a truly luxurious setting.”
