Purchasing Coordinator

• Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business.
• Develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and maintaining adequate levels throughout the year.
• Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities.
• Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Manage the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
• Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
• Perform adhoc projects as required.

Requirements and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years purchasing management experience.
• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
